The plug-in jacket resistance thermometer with connection cable enables temperature measurement in gaseous and liquid media due to the temperature dependence of the electrical resistance of its built-in platinum sensor. The protective tube of the sheathed cable is made of stainless steel, material 1.4541. The vibration-proof construction guarantees a long service life. Due to its properties, the jacket resistance thermometer is therefore used very frequently in chemical plants, power plants, pipelines, in engine construction, on test benches and at all measuring locations where flexibility and problem-free replacement are required. The resistance thermometer according to DIN EN 60751 (class B) is designed as 1 x Pt100 in three-wire circuit and designed for temperatures from -50 to +600 ° C. The protective tube has the dimension 6.0 x 300 mm. The 2.5 m long connecting cable made of silicone is mounted at the transition with strain relief. The permissible ambient temperature for the connecting cable is -50 to +180 ° C. The open connection end is equipped with ferrules according to DIN 46228 part 4.
