The screw-in jacket resistance thermometer enables temperature measurement in gaseous and liquid media due to the temperature dependence of the electrical resistance of its built-in platinum sensor. The protective tube of the sheathed cable is made of stainless steel, material 1.4541. The vibration-proof construction guarantees a long service life. Because of its properties, the jacket resistance thermometer is therefore used very frequently in chemical plants, power plants, pipelines, in engine construction, on test benches and at all measuring locations where flexibility and easy replacement are required. The resistance thermometer according to DIN EN 60751 (class B) is designed as 1 x Pt100 in a two-wire circuit and designed for temperatures from -50 to +600 ° C. The connection head in form J is made of die-cast aluminum, has a cable gland M16 x 1.5 and withstands ambient temperatures between -40 to +100 ° C. The protective tube has the dimension 6.0 x 300 mm. A screw connection made of stainless steel 1.4571 with a G 1/2 inch thread serves as a process connection. The flexible probe tube enables temperature measurements even in hard-to-reach places. The smallest bending radius is 5 × the outer diameter.
