The use of pioneering radio technology with the industrial radio frequency 868.4 MHz results in a significant reduction in installation effort. Cable connections can be omitted, the radio-based sensor technology also works in harsh industrial environments. The supplied Lambda / 4 antenna with an impedance of 50 Ohm can be screwed on directly or mounted externally. If the optionally available antenna wall bracket with a 3 m long antenna cable is used, the free field range is 300 m. The measured values received by the transmitter are converted in the receiver, displayed and are available as linear current or voltage signals (0 (4) to 20 mA, 0 to 10 V) and via digital RS485 interface. Both analog outputs of the receiver are galvanically isolated. There are also two relay outputs available. A connection to higher-level systems, for example to system visualization software or Modbus master-compatible paperless recorders, is possible via the digital interface with Modbus protocol. Operation and configuration is possible using the keyboard in conjunction with a two-line LCD display or, more conveniently, using a setup program. In this way, parameters such as filter constants, offset, alarms and drag pointers (minimum and maximum value memory) can be set separately for each channel. For this there is a connector on the front for a PC interface with TTL / RS232 or USB / TTL converter for the connection between receiver and PC. The receiver in the DIN rail housing is intended for mounting on a 35 × 7.5 mm DIN rail according to DIN EN 60715. The screw terminals for the electrical connection are arranged on different levels. The cable cross-section may not exceed 2.5 mm2. A connection to AC / DC 20 to 30 V, 48 to 63 Hz serves as the power supply.
