Thanks to its impact-resistant housing with high-quality plastic cover and die-cast aluminum base, the 1-pole mechanical body thermostat is very robust and can also be used under harsh conditions. The measuring system used works on the principle of liquid expansion and can be used up to a maximum permissible sensor temperature of 175 ° C without any problems. The smooth round copper sensor has a diameter of 6 mm with a sensor length of approx. 88 mm. The long-distance cable of the thermostat is also made of copper and can be flexibly installed taking into account a bending radius of 5 mm. The maximum permissible ambient temperature on the housing (protection class IP54) is 80 ° C. With the help of a screwdriver, the desired switch-off temperature can be easily set on the inside of a scale after removing the housing cover. The temperature monitor is characterized by a high switching point accuracy of + 0 / -1.5% in the upper third of the scale. A decisive advantage is that no additional auxiliary energy is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made by screw terminals directly on the built-in microswitch, which can switch a maximum permissible switching capacity of 230 V AC / 10 A directly. The thermostat has a switching difference (hysteresis) of approx. 3 to 4% of the scale range and automatically switches back to its original state by falling below the switch-off temperature. The temperature monitor can be used very flexibly and is used in heating, air conditioning and ventilation technology as well as in the plastics industry, apparatus and machine construction as well as in furnace construction and for temperature monitoring in the laboratory and climatic cabinets. The device is approved according to DIN EN 14597 and has an EAC approval.
