The maximum permissible ambient temperature on the housing (protection class IP54) is 80 ° C. With the help of a screwdriver, the desired switch-off temperature can be easily set on the inside of a scale after removing the housing cover. The safety temperature monitor is characterized by a high switching point accuracy of + 0 / -5% in the upper third of the scale. If the measuring system is destroyed, the circuit is opened permanently. The switch contact is then in a neutral position so that no contacts are switched. When the sensor cools down to a temperature below approx. -20 ° C, the circuit is also opened; the contact is closed only when the temperature rises above approx. -20 ° C. A decisive advantage is that no additional auxiliary energy is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made by screw terminals directly on the built-in microswitch, which can switch a maximum permissible switching capacity of 230 V AC / 10 A directly. The safety temperature monitor can be used very flexibly and is used in heating, air conditioning and ventilation technology as well as in the plastics industry, apparatus and machine construction as well as in furnace construction, in district heating transfer stations and for temperature monitoring in laboratories and climatic cabinets. The device is approved according to DIN EN 14597 and PED and has an EAC approval.
